Al Wynette is one of the UK’s leading jazz trumpeters and has been professionally entertaining audiences for over forty years. 

His current band, the Sorta Dixie Jazz Band keeps toes tapping and couples dancing for weddings, parties  and corporate events.  In addition the band appears regularly at jazz clubs in and around London.

Al played with many of the dance bands during the late 40s and 50s before developing his unique jazz style in the 60s and 70s.  He was lead trumpet with bands such as The Ted Heath Orchestra, The Sid Philips Band and Harry Gold & His Pieces Of Eight.

He formed his first Dixieland band in the 70s and has performed at most jazz venues in the UK.
